1. Controller and contact details
The data controller is Hilzinger-Textile S.a.r.l., Cité El Feth – Route de Zeramdine, 5020 Jemmal, Tunisia. Hilzinger MENA (Middle East North Africa) is the company’s commercial division.
For requests concerning personal data, email info@hilzinger-mena.tn with ‘Privacy’ in the subject line, or call +216 73 590885. You may also use the postal address above.
2. Applicable framework
The Tunisian reference is Organic Law No. 2004-63 of 27 July 2004 and its implementing texts. Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) applies to processing that falls within its territorial scope under Article 3, together with the applicable national rules on cookies and electronic communications.
This notice covers the site and contact initiated through the contact details it provides. Entering into a contract or an employment relationship may require further information, provided in the relevant context.
3. Data, purposes and legal grounds for processing
Browsing and security: the hosting service receives technical data needed to deliver the pages, such as your IP address, date and time, requested URL and browser information. Where the GDPR applies, the legal basis is the legitimate interest in keeping the site available and secure, without using this data for advertising profiling.
Business enquiries and partnerships: your name, contact details, company, product of interest and email content are used to respond to your request and manage the relationship. Where the GDPR applies, the legal basis is taking steps at the data subject’s request prior to entering into a contract; for company representatives, it is the legitimate interest in managing professional correspondence.
Job applications: the contact details, CV and professional information you choose to send are used to assess your application. Where the GDPR applies, the legal basis is taking steps at the applicant’s request prior to entering into a contract. Do not send identity documents or health data unless expressly requested through an appropriate channel.
For processing subject to Tunisian law, express and documentable consent is obtained where required, subject to the exceptions provided by law. Consent to the map covers only that service and does not authorise marketing or other uses of your data.
Google Maps is activated only with your consent. Your preference is stored on your device to remember your choice. No traffic analytics or advertising tools are installed. The AI chat is in preparation and does not send data to Paeonia APIs. No automated decisions producing legal effects or visitor profiling are carried out.
4. How contact works
The contact form processes the fields in your browser and prepares an email: it does not upload the message to a website database. You can review the draft, and it is sent from your email application. Your name, email address and message are required to prepare it; the other fields are optional. If you do not provide sufficient contact details, we will be unable to reply.
Job applications and distribution proposals also use email links. Message delivery and retention involve the sender’s and recipient’s email services. When selected, the Copy function writes the draft to your device’s clipboard.
Your cookie preferences do not affect your ability to browse the catalogue or contact us. Links to external sites open services that have their own privacy notices.
5. Recipients and international context
Messages are intended for authorised personnel of Hilzinger-Textile S.a.r.l. and its Hilzinger MENA division. Technical providers of hosting, maintenance and email services may process the data necessary for their services; advisers or authorities receive it only where relevant. Group membership does not mean that messages are automatically shared with all group companies.
The company is based in Tunisia: emails addressed to it are therefore handled in that context. Hosting and external services may involve other countries. Information about the provider actually used for this version appears below. You can request clarification about recipients and applicable safeguards by writing to the privacy contact.
Transfers subject to the GDPR require the conditions of its Chapter V; those subject to Tunisian law require the prescribed conditions and authorisations, including INPDP authorisations where applicable. Accepting the banner alone does not replace these safeguards.
If you enable Google Maps, your browser communicates directly with Google and transmits at least technical connection data. Google may read or set cookies depending on the context and your account settings; it may process data in different countries. Consult its privacy and cookie information before enabling it.
6. Retention
Your choice regarding external services is stored for six months; you are asked again after that period or if the purposes change substantially. You can clear this storage earlier in your browser settings.
Business messages are kept for as long as needed to handle the request and any resulting relationship, and subsequently only for relevant legal obligations or the protection of rights. The criteria are the status of the request, the duration of the relationship and the time limits applicable to obligations or disputes.
Job applications are processed for the recruitment process to which they relate; any retention for future opportunities requires specific information and, where necessary, separate consent. Log and backup retention periods depend on the hosting service and security needs. You can request the details relevant to the processing of your data from the privacy contact.
7. Your rights
Within the limits of the applicable law, you may request access to your data, rectification or updating, and object to processing or request erasure where the relevant conditions are met. Where the GDPR applies, restriction of processing and data portability are also provided for, subject to the conditions set by the Regulation.
You can withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of previous processing. For the map, use ‘Cookie preferences’ in the footer; for other processing, write to the privacy contact. We may request only the information necessary to verify your identity.
For requests subject to the GDPR, we generally respond within one month; any permitted extension is communicated with the reasons for it. You may lodge a complaint with the INPDP in Tunisia and, where the GDPR applies, with the competent supervisory authority, particularly in the country of your habitual residence, place of work or alleged infringement. Links to the authorities are provided below.
8. Changes and security
Access to data must be limited to authorised persons and the stated purposes. We invite you to send only information relevant to your request. No transmission over the Internet can be considered risk-free.
This notice is updated when processing activities or the services used change. Enabling an AI chat, analytics or a newsletter will require new information before the relevant data is collected.
